Doug Estes became the pastor of Buffalo Baptist Church in July of 2019. He has served in various roles in southern Baptist churches in Georgia and South Carolina since 1997. His central passion for ministry revolves around encouraging and challenging Christians to grow to their full spiritual potential through the preaching of God’s Word, evangelism, and making disciples. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 3:18, II Timothy 2:2, Matt. 28:19-20). He preaches in the discipline of text-driven expository preaching. Expository text-driven preaching is a form of preaching that details the meaning of a particular text or passage of Scripture. It explains what the Bible means by what it says—a careful drawing out of the exact meaning of a passage in its original context. He is committed to evangelism of the community and world, making disciples who make further disciples.
Doug has a Master’s degree from Luther Rice Seminary in Loganville, Georgia.
He is married to his best friend and partner in ministry, Joy Estes. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing golf, hunting, preaching, and enjoying a good meal.

Beth Anthony
Beth Anthony has served as Music Director since 2014. She has attended Buffalo Baptist since she was born and has been involved in the music ministry at Buffalo Baptist in many ways since she was a child. Beth is married to Dee Anthony and has two children, DJ and Emily. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, camping and outdoor activities.
Favorite Bible verse: Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Youth Director
J.R. LaPierre
J.R. was born and raised in Buffalo. He has attended Buffalo Baptist all his life. Along with being the youth director, he also works in landscaping. J.R. loves hunting, hiking, and anything to do with nature.
J.R.'s favorite Bible verses are Genesis 3:11, Romans 12:2, and John 3:30.
Kim Benson grew up in Union, SC. She has been married to Jeff Benson for 25 years and has one son, Andrew. She has served at Buffalo Baptist since 2013. Kim enjoys family, camping, and Clemson football.
Kim's favorite Bible verse is II Chronicles 7:14. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, them I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
